The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 hit the showroom this month (April) and I've already put 500kms on the demo bike so it was a great opportunity to test an 18 year old BMW that would be a direct competitor.
Allow me to cut to the chase; the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is the better bike in every way and would get my money if I had $9000 to spend. However, if my budget is limited to $7000 then I wouldn't be disappointed with the Beemer. Far from it, I was impressed. Impressed with the 50hp Rotax engine, impressed with the light weight and maneuverability and really impressed with the low seat height. This must have the lowest seat height of any proper adventure bike ever made.
The bike has heated grips as standard, switchable ABS, a USB port, a 12v socket, a sports GPR exhaust to give the bike some bark.
The bike has been owned since new by a gent who traded it in for a larger adventure bike. It is in excellent condition for its age and kms.
We can ship to the East Coast for $650 or delivery locally from in Perth from $150.
Trade ins will be considered.
