The BMW F 800 ST is a commuters dream, working well and offering a smooth and comfortable ride with the 4 stroke 800cc engine providing enough power and torque smoothly through the belt drive for weaving in and out of city traffic and journeying across town.
Don't be scared off by the kms, nearly every BMW we see has massive kilometers on the clock. It's a testament to how well built they are and this one is comparative a youngster.
The 48L GIVI topbox is huge and can easily accommodate a full size helmet (or two) with enough room spare for a 6 pack. The integrated heated grips will come in handy as we head in to cooler weather and the screen is very effective. An aftermarket set of foot pegs bring the riding position to a more comfortable angle and the Akrapovic exhaust sounds great and looks even better.
A handful of carbon bits have been added as has the vinyl stripe in reflective green. We quite like it but it could be easily removed if you prefer the clean original look.
Rex's NOTE: I've commuted to work on this bike for a week and I really enjoy riding it. Being an ST, it is more touring than sport but it does respond to rider input so will be very rewarding in the twisties. It has a huge tank which means big kilometers are possible.
