As the leading custom motorcycle shop in WA, we are stoked to bring one of our creations back into the fold.

When tasked with resurrecting a Himalayan 411 back from the dead, we saw it as an opportunity to build the world's best Himalayan. One of our favourite customers who had been to the Himalayas with local adventure company Himalayan Heroes, had often thought how he could make the perfect bike for the Himalayan conditions.

First step would be to get the bike going again but why have a stock motor when it's just as easy to put a big bore kit in. While the engine was open, we fit a performance cam to give some top end power. The Himalayan 411 always needed a bit of extra poke.

Second step was to give it better throttle response for the trails in Julimar and Mundaring State Forests. So we fitted a performance air filter, flat slide carb and a custom made exhaust with MW throbber muffler that is tuned beautifully for both performance and sound. It's now very responsive and gets a lot of looks.

Third step was to replace the budget suspension with something more comfortable. The rear got Ohlins and the front got some progressive springs. Totally transformed the bike, especially off road.

Fourth step was the instruments. We decided to ditch them and go with an app on a phone connected via chargeable quadlock. Simple, light and works better than you'd expect.

Fifth Step was the aesthetics. The owner asked Jared to come up with a white yellow and black colour scheme, which I'm sure you'll agree looks amazing. We used the side panels and rear guard from a Scram 411 and an old school motocross headlight set up which matched the ethos of the bike. Professionally painted and a front mudguard stay custom made by Rogue Motorcycles.

Final step was to remove the pillion seat and replace it with a rack and a side rack to strap luggage to to go on overnight touring adventures with mates. Beyond Trim made a custom seat with our logo on the side. This whole set up cost $1500 alone.

This bike makes you want to do silly things. You'll be riding next to a park with a BMX track and next minute you're belting through the middle of it, lining up a jump. A steep incline in Julimar forest stands no chance against the tractor-like engine of the Himalayan. Narrow gates that are meant to let mountain bikes through and keep motorbikes out are no longer an obstacle. It's a fun, fun bike.

Don't believe me, come and test it for yourself.

With a build cost including the bike in excess of 15k, this is your opportunity to grab a bargain.
